So, I was thinking….

What happens when you’ve reached The Pinnacle? The Horizon? Goals attained.

The dream you've set out to accomplish.  Just look at you why dont'cha?                                                                 You’ve emerged from your slumber, and it’s just as you hoped---minus some bumps and bruises, minor setbacks and all; but you’ve made it nonetheless.

The Naysayers have been silenced and put to shame...And maybe, just maybe, you truly ARE the Master of Your Universe. You rest your feet on the plush Lazy Boy; or you take in a small, chilled sip of…I MADE IT.

Yet, a feeling from across the room immobilizes your graduation to The Good Life… stalling any other thought but the truth....a thought that tells you……I'm not truly happy??? (egads!)

You know what I say? You know...only if we were cool, I'd say…To HELL with HAPPINESS!!!

I tell you what…this HAPPY word is a trip!!!

Most of the poor imagine riches, believing that their possession will bring supreme, lasting happiness. The rich, having gratified every desire, suffer boredom from what they deem life per se and are farther from the possession of happiness than even the poor. Some may agree with me that the selfishness of the world is a major cause for the unhappiness we face; and most fall under the soul-destroying delusion that it’s someone else's selfishness and not our own.

We say things like: 

      ‘I can make it on my own.’

      ‘No wonder it’s so lonely at The Top.’

      ‘I just wanna be happy, doesn't everybody?’

Yep, we sure do! And you’ve made sure THE GOLDEN RULE is in effect in your life. You’ve done to others as you’d have done to yourself, and made sure of it! No selfishness in your soul. You’re totally clean-handed.

Still... You’re stalled by one thought.... 

I'm not truly happy.

It’s amazing when you look back on some of the things you don't like about your life, especially the things you sought out in the ‘pursuit of happiness’. Pursuits that, most of the time, started from a lie solely conceived to create happiness. You know...

Those intentions with an emotional pull, saturated by seeds of the Pride of Life…Lust of the Flesh…And Lust of the Eye.

No wonder we're not happy in that relationship.

That job.

That car.

That house with that pool.

All outward expressions of what we're really looking for on the inside.

So, hear me out.  What if you decided to abandon the quest for happy with its figment of true delusion?

Because here’s the deal:  happiness is, and always will be, nothing more than a by-product of joy.

Joy is, and always will be, the strength that releases ‘results as resources’ to empower you and everything around you....The force that INCREASES itself in you... As True Life increases itself…

Let's imagine, if you will, standing amid a forest.

--- And, with all of your might… imagine blowing upon this forest to make the leaves blow.

--- Now, close your eyes and imagine a strong wind flowing from behind you and rushing through that same forest...

---- Wow, how the trees themselves seem to bask and give way to the strength of that might!

----- Now, as strong as you blew----you only moved a leaf or two; but, the wind moved the entire forest!

As I imagined this process I thought about ‘happiness’ as being ‘my might’; (which is minimal at best) and JOY being the force that moved the entire forest.

So, I was thinking (again!!!)...???...

If happiness doesn't move the forest, how can it move you?

To hell with the effort of being happy, with its sinful illusions! We need THE FORCE that moves the forest...JOY. True HAPPINESS is a direct result of JOY; aka an increase in our ability to do more
